Yemeni Armed Forces Intensify Operations Against Houthis; 700 Militant Casualties Reported Across Multiple Fronts
SANAA : The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have vowed to “significant escalate” their military actions against the Houthis, alleging that at least 700 Houthi fighters have been killed in 257 “tactical engagements”.
As for the government, spokesman Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, in an official statement released via social media, said the government forces used “a combination of warplanes, combat drones, artillery, missiles and rocket launchers” to attack the militants’ positions.

Multi-Front Operations: Colonel Al-Nazili explained that sweeping operations were carried out in several fronts including Sana’a, Midi, Baqim, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda and Lahj, with the main emphasis put on the operational axes around the front lines of Taiz.
Targeted Military Assets: The airstrikes and ground barrages were effective in targeting key Houthi command and control centers, troop concentrations, military hardware, ammunition depots, supply routes and logistical transport lines.
The military offensive in the Region: The escalation comes amidst wider preparation of the region for military operations and strategic moves to secure strategic maritime routes and disputed provinces in Yemen.
