We Will Not Let PTI Enter Islamabad and Arrests Will Be Made to Prevent Anarchy, Warns Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar
ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has warned against PTI marching on the federal capital otherwise the government will not tolerate it, adding that the law enforcement agencies are ready to arrest the agitators in advance.
In the current affairs television programme, Tarar said that the daily losses of the country’s economy caused by political protests are massive and that the state will now take its primary duty to safeguard the lives and property of its citizens.
PTI is the B-Team of Proscribed TTP.
The Information Minister in an attack on the opposition party, accused PTI of being a “B-team” of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He noted that other political parties have been subjected to attacks from terrorists but PTI has not experienced similar attacks, due to its ideology.
Tarar said that the KP government’s recent moves on policing and administrative issues are aimed at creating a partisan security force and giving a free hand to the militant forces. He pointed out that despite Khyber Pakhtunkhwa being allocated a huge amount of funds for counter-terrorism under the NFC award, there were complaints of rampant smuggling and lack of good governance in the region. In response to the speculations about the introduction of the governance of KP, Tarar said that he did not see any prospect to the introduction of province’s rule as PTI would try to exercise that power for political victimisation.

The government remains prepared to use shipping containers and security cordons as a precaution to implement the Islamabad High Court’s directives on public gatherings and to ensure the safety of the capital from any violent incidents, Reiterated Tarar.
