War Must End in Accordance with Islamabad Memorandum: IRGC
TEHRAN: The political deputy of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Yadollah Javani has said the war has to end as per the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
During an interview with Iranian state media, Yadollah Javani said the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened if the United States “carries out its commitments and duties in the memorandum”.
He said the arrangements over the Strait of Hormuz will never be the same as pre-war days. The Iranian general claimed that the U.S., Israel, and their allies have come to a “point of failure” in their bid to take control of the strategic waterway from Iran.
The corridor’s management is under strict Iranian control, as stipulated in the regional framework, said Yadollah Javani, who manages the region’s affairs.
