US President Donald Trump Declares Iran Conflict Will End Right After Midterms

US President Donald Trump Claims Iran Conflict Will Conclude Right After Midterm Elections, Defends Comprehensive Military Strategy

WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump has asserted that ongoing military engagements involving Iran will come to a definitive end immediately following the upcoming midterm elections, suggesting the timeline could even wrap up sooner.

In a wide-ranging media interview, President Trump stated that full-scale military actions have been calibrated in part due to electoral timing, while emphasizing that the United States maintains absolute control over the Strait of Hormuz rather than Tehran. He reiterated that Washington will never permit Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, alleging that political opponents within the Democratic Party would have allowed such proliferation.

Destruction of Nuclear Capacities and Missile Infrastructure

The US President claimed that military strikes have successfully dismantled Iran’s primary nuclear capabilities, arguing that if Tehran had secured an atomic arsenal, it would have deployed it immediately to devastate Israel and the broader Middle East. He added that he harbors no regrets regarding the administration’s aggressive policy stance on Iran.

Addressing military capabilities, Trump noted that a significant portion of Iran’s ballistic missile infrastructure has been neutralized, though he acknowledged that Iranian forces retain the residual capacity to launch intermittent strikes despite facing severe operational difficulties. He also claimed that Iranian forces remain determined to target him personally.
