ISLAMABAD : PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that after the end of the party’s long march, the government and state institutions should take measures to restore the political normalcy and undo unconstitutional measures.
In a media interaction in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar pointed out that per the Constitution of Pakistan, Governor’s Rule may be imposed for a maximum period of six months, noting that there isn’t any legal basis for the imposition of Governor’s Rule and Emergency.

Legal Challenges and Court Demands: Restating the party’s legal position, Gohar said that the administrative takeover in KP has been challenged in the Peshawar High Court and it is hoped that the petitions will be heard by a larger bench to offer speedy legal relief. The issue can also be taken up to the Federal Constitutional Court if required, he added.
Expressing serious concern over the crackdown, the PTI chairman said on Tuesday that he has not yet got any information about the whereabouts of Sohail Afridi, a former Chief Minister, and the arbitrary arrest of elected assembly members should never have happened.
