KP Operations and Martyrdom of Six Soldiers

Meanwhile, security forces conducted sweeping counter-terrorism sweeps across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 15 and 17. In North Waziristan, acting on a tip-off regarding khawarij presence, troops effectively targeted a militant hideout, killing 6 khawarij following an intense exchange of gunfire. An additional 4 khawarij were killed during a separate firefight in Hangu.

Tragically, during operations on September 17, a security forces convoy was targeted using a roadside improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in the shahadat (martyrdom) of 6 brave soldiers. ISPR stated that sanitization operations are ongoing to clear the areas of any remaining threats, emphasizing that the supreme sacrifices of the fallen troops reinforce the nation’s unbreakable resolve against terrorism.
