RIYADH: On September 23, 2026, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will celebrate its 96th National Day with a nationwide public holiday, as announced by the Kingdom.

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has issued the official announcement of the holiday schedule for its employees in the public and private sectors, according to regional Arab media reports.

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (12 Rabi al-Thani 1448 AH) is a government paid holiday and will remain closed for all government offices and private institutions, the ministry added.

The authorities said the decision to grant the national holiday was taken in line with Article 24 of the executive regulations of the Saudi Labor Law. September 23rd is the Saudi Arabia National Day, which is celebrated every year with colorful cultural events, national ceremonies, and public events across the Kingdom.
