PTI Political Committee Postpones Long March, Delegating Final Timing and Scheduling Authority to Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political committee has taken a long, hard decision to suspend their long march ahead of political mobilization, the party said in a statement.
The committee has formally handed over the responsibility of deciding when and how the long march will be called to key opposition and allied leaders Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas in terms of a formal policy statement released by the committee.

Members of the party’s political committee pledged, “We will not get weary; instead, we will wear down our enemies.
The mobilization to take place in late September had been the subject of much discussion, but committee sources said that a larger mobilization time frame of September 27 to 5 is still being considered, and its final timeline will depend on the instructions and roadmap that Achakzai and Abbas will provide.
The decision is meant to align street protests with other opposition consensus following Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aaeen-Pakistan.
