ISLAMABAD: Speaking to the media outside the Parliament House, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that he does not expect the review petition by the government to be heard by tomorrow and has not seen any other petition being heard in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in less than four to six days.

He said the Supreme Court’s direction is not to be ignored and it would be implemented by today or tomorrow as the PTI founder would be shifted to Shifa International Hospital as per directions of the Supreme Court.

Salman Akram Raja said he doesn’t think the authorities will do anything to disrespect the court in these times and if they do, then the people of Pakistan will decide for themselves.

Our voice will definitely be heard and we will also file a contempt of court petition and place this case before the nation,” he added.

The recent political talks were a gesture of goodwill, as the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) delegation was visiting the opposition leader, Salman Akram Raja stated that they had only asked to re-establish contact with the opposition. He said they had expressed their wish to start a dialogue and discussion of electoral reforms, but he told them that nothing could be done without PTI chairman’s consent. He further mentioned that the PPP delegation appreciated the Supreme Court’s order regarding the PTI founder, and clarified that the issue of new provinces was not discussed during the meeting.
