PTI Founder Does Not Make Deals, Has Served Three Years in Prison: Barrister Gohar
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has slammed any political deal, saying the jailed leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would not make any deal, adding that he would not have spent three years in prison if he did.
Speaking to foreign media outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Barrister Gohar said that the party is heading to the top court today to file a contempt of court petition in this case due to the failure to comply with court’s instructions in the transfer of PTI founder to hospital. He said he hopes the petition will be officially numbered and be heard soon today.

Barrister Gohar asserted that there was absolutely no ambiguity in the Supreme Court’s order and that the verdict should have been implemented in letter and spirit. The instructions for exact transfer to which hospital the PTI founder was to be taken, however, were completely ignored.
The PTI Chairman also said that the official constituted medical board was not even there to conduct the examination, as the required persons were not part of it. He also explained that the PTI leader intended to spend no more than the minimum time in the hospital to undergo his medical tests. He also said that a joint opposition meeting will also be held in Parliament later today.
Barrister Gohar narrated that he had come as a representative to meet the Chief Justice who was busy, so that couldn’t happen. He and senior lawyer Latif Khosa, however, spoke to the Registrar of the Supreme Court who assured them on the composition of the bench, which could even be done online.
