Province Cannot Function Without the Federal Government; Solving Issues Is Only Possible Through Cooperation, States Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said the province would not be able to operate without support of the Federal Government and that the solving of the problems in the region is possible only with the cooperation of Islamabad.

The governor, speaking to the media in Swabi, pointed out that the province is a stroke of good luck as both the Centre and the Province are on the “same page” and working towards ensuring fraternal relations with the federation and other provinces, unlike the previous PTI government.

Here are some of the key points highlighted by the governor Faisal Karim Kundi in Swabi and Peshawar.
Governor Kundi said that the fight against terrorism should be a united effort, and called for revolutionary change in education, healthcare and state institutions, and emphasized that anti-encroachment activities should be carried out in line with the law, from the law-abiding attitude of the officials.

Addressing the unveiling ceremony of the Zalmi Madrassah Cricket League at Governor House in Peshawar, Kundi noted that sports are a powerful tool to combat extremism and direct youth towards positive engagements. He pointed out that madrassah students are a vital part of the society and they need to be given the same opportunity to engage in wholesome activities.

In a significant development, the KP Governor announced that the Province is making all-out efforts to host the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) Opening Ceremony in Peshawar to send a positive and peaceful message of the Province to the world, paying rich tributes to the great sacrifices of all the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
