Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Strongly Condemns Houthi Drone Attack Attempt on Makkah, Affirms Unwavering Solidarity with Saudi Arabia
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attempt to carry out a drone attack on the holy city of Makkah and made it clear that he would not tolerate such an act.
The entire Pakistani nation is mournful, distressed and horrified by this provocation which is too deplorable and too terrible to be expressed with words, said PM Shehbaz Sharif in the official statement issued through his social media account.
Tribute to Saudi Armed Forces and Call for Restraint
The Prime Minister highly praised the exceptional vigilance, bravery and professionalism of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces, for their timely and courageous interception of the threat.
PM Shehbaz Sharif called for stability in the region, urging all stakeholders to be extra cautious and avoid an escalation of tensions, while emphasising that only dialogue and diplomacy can lead to a lasting peace in the region.

Reaffirming Islamabad’s firm stance, Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s position of being at the side of Saudi Arabia to ensure the country’s territorial and national integrity. He reiterated the sacred responsibility of protecting the Two Holy Mosques, which is very dear to the hearts of all Pakistanis.
