Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Inaugurates Google’s Pakistan Office

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif officially opened Google’s Pakistan office. Before the ribbon cutting ceremony, Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif met with Vice President, Google, Wilson and his team and briefed them on digital technology development in Pakistan, opportunity for the youth and further enhancement in the level of cooperation between both.

Welcoming Google’s Vice President and his team to Pakistan, the Prime Minister stated that Google is a globally renowned technology company and immense opportunities exist for Google in Pakistan, marking an important and promising new journey.

Google’s Long-term Partnership Policy
Google vice president Wilson said that Google is looking forward to working closely for a long time with Pakistan. He emphasized that further steps are needed to promote digital technology in the country, ensuring that young people are provided with ample opportunities to fully benefit from modern technology and the digital economy.

Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif opened the door of Google’s office. In his inauguration speech, the Prime Minister highlighted that Google can be a powerful resource for the youth and technical community of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of building mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Google further and emphasized that the government will take further steps to promote digital technology and impart the latest skills to the youth.
