Prime Minister Directs Easy Loan Facilities for Low-Income Groups, Farmers, and Housing Sector
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister to commercial banks and financial institutions to make credit and finance available in easy terms for the farmers, low income groups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and housing sector.
The Prime Minister chaired a high-level review meeting to discuss financing options for the “Apna Ghar” housing scheme, agriculture and SME development and urged the financial institutions to be more proactive and effective in providing credit facilities. He said banks with exceptional performance will be encouraged and rewarded by the government in the provision of targeted lending.
The government places a high priority on providing affordable housing and promoting the agriculture sector.
Shehbaz Sharif underlined the importance of primary sectors to the national economy, saying it is a crucial responsibility of the state to ensure the development of agriculture as the backbone of national economy. He directed the relevant authorities to ensure unhindered and easy access of financial resources for farmers.

The government has hastened implementation of the housing plan by ordering provincial chief secretaries to carry out a detailed survey of government lands and government-built buildings to facilitate prospective homeowners under the housing plan of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called “Apna Ghar”.
