General Syed Aamer Raza got Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) Award.
The National Strategic Command (NSC) Chief General Syed Aamer Raza has been conferred the prestigious Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) award. The high military honour was bestowed by President Asif Ali Zardari in a special investiture ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in the presence of several dignitaries.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was the guest of honour at the high-profile ceremony, which was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff.
Dignitaries from the Senate of Pakistan, including Chairman of the senate Yousaf Raza Gillani, deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, and other senior federal ministers Attaullah Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, and Muhammad Aurangzeb, attended the ceremony to witness the proceedings.
