We Appreciate Trump’s Support for the Makkah Defense Pact: Prime Minister
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his deep gratitude to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for his supportive and encouraging words on signing the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement.
Once again, he said, he wants to pay tribute to the courageous and decisive leadership of President Trump in averting a nuclear catastrophe in South Asia and saving millions of lives. To achieve sustainable peace is the most important precondition that is essential for a bright and prosperous future for our people,Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in the same context.
President Trump’s Statement
The US President had said in his tweet that the signing of the Makkah Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan is a welcome and important bold step by the three countries.
In the meantime, the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced that Egypt wants to join the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement as well.
