Petroleum Prices Maintained for Three Days as Dealers’ Margin Risen

Petroleum Prices Maintained for Three Days, Dealers’ Margin Increased by Rs 1.34 Per Liter

ISLAMABAD:The petroleum product prices have been fixed for the next three days and the profit mark-up has been raised by Rs 1.34 per litre by the dealers. The current retail price of petrol is Rs 325.43 per litre while that of high speed diesel is Rs 383.95 per litre.

The revision was approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet during its meeting in Islamabad in the presence of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, which decided to revise the petroleum dealers’ margin to Rs 10 per litre.

The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has delayed its nationwide strike call after the government formally approved the Rs 1.34 price rise. In addition, there is a joint committee to consider the dealers’ bigger demand for 8 per cent margin, which is expected to come out with a full report within 30 days.
