Pakistan Rifle Team has made a sterling performance at the British Open, clinching 13 medals.
The Pakistan rifle shooting team has showcased an outstanding performance at the British Open 2026 with a total of 13 medals, 7 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze.
About 185 world-class shooters from 24 countries participated in the prestigious tournament. With the smallest delegation in the international event, Pakistani shooters displayed tremendous skill and accuracy.
Ahsan Gul did the honours for Pakistan, winning gold in the 1000-yard Under-25 and the Aggregate 1000-yard Under-25 events.
Huzaifa Gul performed exceptionally well in various events and won 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
In the meantime, Muhammad Walid won a gold medal in 1000-yard event and a bronze medal in FTR Aggregate category. Pakistan shooters also had a good performance in the 800-yard and 900-yard events.
The Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association said the British Open was an important preparatory tournament for the upcoming world championship, and it was a great morale booster for the team.
The 7th F-Class World Championship is now in progress in the United Kingdom from 10th August to 16th August. The Pakistan squad is now in the world championship with a sense of confidence after their good showing at the British Open.
