Pakistan and 7 Other Nations Reject Israeli Statements on Palestinian Displacement, Reiterate Support for Two-State Solution
ISLAMABAD: Seven other countries have voiced objections to Israeli ministers’ recent comments about displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and Pakistan has strongly protested them, saying it will categorically oppose any attempt to compromise with the rights of the Palestinian people.
The foreign ministers of the participating countries reaffirmed their unflagging support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their homeland, in a joint declaration, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

The joint communique highlighted that Gaza is a part of the occupied Palestinian territories and that the continuity of Palestinian territories, including Gaza, the West Bank, and occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), is of crucial importance.
The allied nations declared that the only way to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace is to implement the two-state solution. They insisted that any action and/or any plan targeting the forced displacement of Palestinians would seriously compromise regional stability and the international standards.

The joint statement reiterated basic legal principles, stating that moves to forcibly remove Palestinians from their homeland are a “flagrant infringement of international law.
The foreign ministers urged the creation of an independent and sovereign state of Palestine with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital, and on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders.
