Major Reduction in LNG Prices, OGRA Issues Notification
ISLAMABAD:The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has made a major relief announcement to consumers with a formal notification of significantly reduced prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG), both for the major transmission systems.
The rate for LNG delivered to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has been lowered by $6.81 per mmBtu bringing the rate to $19.03 per mmBtu, the notification said. The LNG price of the Sui Northern system previously was $25.84/mmBtu.
New rates for Sui Southern System.
Similarly, the price of LNG for the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGCL) system has been slashed by $6.95 per mmBtu. The new rate is now $18.13 per mmBtu, after this downward revision.
The price of LNG for the Sui Southern system before this cut was $25.08 per mmBtu.
