Meteorological Department Predicts Rains and Hailstorms Across Multiple Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a weather advisory for heavy rains, strong winds, thundershowers and localized hailstorm in different districts of KP Province.
Met Office forecast is for gusty winds or rain with thunder in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan and in the northern and upper parts of the country. Strong winds are expected with similar weather patterns in the central and southern districts, which include Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi and Nowshera.
Weather Alerts extended to Tribal and Southern Districts.
In addition, heavy cloudfall, high wind and rains are expected in Kohat, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, tribal and border regions of Parachinar, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand and Khyber, meteorological officials said.
The Met Department has shared the regional rainfall data of last 24 hours stating that Upper Dir reported the maximum amount of rainfall at 39 millimetres, Malam Jabba at 23 millimetres and Chitral at 9 millimetres.
