Makkah Alliance Is Progressing Positively, Preparations Underway for Joint Headquarters and Staff Deployment, States Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan
ANKARA : The process of institutionalization and operationalization of Makkah Defense Alliance (MDA) between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye is progressing steadily with positive developments.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has reported that the Makkah Alliance is progressing constructively while all three countries continue to be fully committed to turning the trilateral security pact into a realistic and operational one.
Establishing an institutional framework, secretariat and joint headquarters.
So far, consensus has been achieved on institutional architecture and establishment of the official secretariat of the alliance, said Hakan Fidan.
In the next stage, the authorities will complete the setup of the joint headquarters, and deploy military and administrative personnel. The permanent secretariat, which will be located in Saudi Arabia, will be headed by a Pakistani Secretary General for the time being.
