Logic Behind Creating New Provinces Makes No Sense; We Will Bury the Politics of Hatred, Says Bilawal Bhutto

THARPARKER: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has challenged the political understanding behind the creation of new administrative units, claiming it was based on the assumption of a failing national system and pledged to completely eliminate the politics of hatred and division.

While addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Thar Coal Block-3 Phase-3 expansion project in Islamkot, Bilawal said that the socio-economic changes that took place in Thar is unprecedented in the entire country and the area is witnessing tremendous improvement in indigenous energy generation, healthcare and education.

Here are the highlights of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s speech:
Constitutional Success Model: Bilawal underscored the success of the 18th amendment by highlighting Thar as one of the country’s most cost-effective power plants, which also exemplifies the success of transparent public-private partnerships.

Rejection of New Provinces Narrative: If the objective of someone who wants to establish a new province is to highlight the shortcomings of the administration and provide them with free health services in the local style, then Bilawal asked critics to leave Islamabad to the care of the administration and health services devoid of their own style.

The PPP chairman’s criticism of Divisive Politics came as he lashed out at the political rivals for polarizing and dividing the city of Karachi, declaring that any such efforts would be completely rejected and the party would promote wide spread development and unity.
