Will the Lahore Metro Bus Service be closed from August 11?
The Lahore Metro Bus service is facing the possibility of suspension from August 11, due to growing concerns. The private operating company reported that the Masstransit Authority had not made arrangements for fuel for the metro buses as ordered by the court until July 29, thus preventing the continuation of the service. The private operator said it had already notified the authority about its dwindling finances. However, Uzair Shah, in-charge of the Masstransit Authority, said that it was not possible to make any decision without the government’s directives and the authority’s position will be presented in court next week.
