King Salman Thanks Leaders for Joint Efforts on Makkah Defense Pact

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has thanked and appreciated the joint efforts of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to conclude the historic Makkah Defense Pact.

In the chairmanship of the cabinet session, King Salman praised the positive results of the Makkah Al-Mukramah Summit for Joint Defense, highlighting the fact that the historic agreement has created a strong and long-term cooperation framework in the field of defense between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan. He pointed out that the framework is aimed at significantly improving cooperation, integration and collective security between the two sides, and at actively promoting stability in the region and the world.

The Saudi monarch emphasized the historical connections, Islamic unity and strategic commitment that bind the three countries together. King Salman said that the signing of a long-term defense partnership between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan will significantly strengthen collective cooperation, coordination and military integration.The historic agreement will play a key role in addressing the security issues in the region and help ensure global peace, he added, and will help them realize the aspirations of their people and the international community for a more prosperous, stable and secure future.
