Key Terrorist Commander Adil Shah Alias Darwesh Killed in Balochistan Intelligence-Based Operation; Wanted Commander Was Involved in Attacks on Security Forces and Extortion
QUETTA : A prominent commander in the ranks of Fitna al-Khawarij, important terrorist group, has been shot dead in an intelligence-driven operation in the district of Qila Saifullah in Balochistan.
Security sources said the militant commander, known as Adil Shah aka Darwesh, was a member of the terrorist outfit since December 2020 and was running its financial operations since 2024.
The key highlights of the Balochistan Intelligence Based OperationNetwork and Facilitation Role: Security sources said that commander Adil Shah was actively involved in facilitating non-local militants and providing them with permanent living quarters in the areas of Zhob, Sherani and Shaban.
Involvement in Heinous Crimes: The neutralized commander was directly involved in the attacks on security forces, kidnapping for ransom and extortion syndicates that had been going on since 2022 and 2023.According to official records, Adil Shah was wanted for 19 First Information Reports (FIRs) filed against him in anti-terrorism courts and the government had fixed his head bounty at Rs. 2.5 million.
