Iranian Presidency Terms Field Marshal’s Visit Successful, Citing Imminent Positive Results
ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s recent visit to Tehran has been termed as very productive and mutually beneficial by the Iranian government.
The diplomatic tour by Field Marshal Asim Munir is reported to have had positive and fruitful outcomes in a formal statement from the Iranian presidential office. The effects and positive results of the high-level visit will start to appear soon, said Seyed Mehdi Tabatabai, the spokesman for the president.

During his Iran tour, meanwhile, the Foreign Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced significant achievements in diplomacy, stating that the meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was “exceptionally positive and result-oriented” with Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to the official statement on his social media account on X, the Federal Minister mainly spoke about the current situation between the United States and Iran, Middle East tensions and the future strategic plans. Both the parties discussed necessary steps to revive the Islamabad memorandum of understanding (MoU) which may open the path towards a comprehensive solution of the crisis, he added.
Mohsin Naqvi said the Iranian President had the opportunity to share his government’s viewpoint and worries in a candid manner which resulted in constructive and fruitful discussions on the related matters. He said he hopes these will pave the way for continued positive actions and make a substantial impact on achieving lasting regional peace.
Comprehensive ISPR Briefing on Leadership Meetings
Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that Field Marshal Asim Munir has held several consultations with Iran’s Supreme Leader’s representative on the Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Hossein Amir Arjomandi and the Iranian Interior Minister.
The top-level meetings were thorough and comprehensive and centered on preventing further escalation, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and moving the conflict toward a quick resolution through continued diplomatic dialogue and peaceful dispute resolution processes, the ISPR said. The Iranian leadership praised Pakistan’s sincere efforts and role in de-escalation.
