Iran Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Kohat, Expresses Condolences and Calls for Regional Counter-Terrorism Cooperation
ISLAMABAD: In response to the latest terrorist attack in Kohat, The Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a firm and clear statement of condemnations, stating that it was deeply saddened and sympathizing with the families of the victims, the Government and the people of Pakistan.
In an official statement, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stressed Tehran’s firm opposition to “militant violence across the borders in all forms”, affirming Iran’s position on the issue of terrorism.
There is no justification for violence against civilians.
Terrorist acts towards innocent civilians have no justification whatsoever, said Esmaeil Baghaei.
The Iranian spokesperson stressed the importance of collective regional stability, highlighting the need to boost regional countries’ cooperation and intelligence sharing, as well as close coordination, to counter the threat of terrorism.
