TEHRAN: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has declared six people were captured in the southeast of the nation suspected of being members of a terrorist group affiliated to the United States and Israel.

The IRGC said the arrested men had entered the southeastern region of Iran to carry out subversive activities, but the security forces managed to foil and arrest all six suspects, including one who was arrested in a single operation, with targeted action.

Inquiries and Other Information Pending.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps also said the suspects had close relations with foreign intelligence agents in the US and Israel and were tasked with carrying out “disruptive activities” inside Iran.

Iranian officials did not immediately provide additional details about what the charges and any evidence of foreign involvement in the incident would have been, but said in-depth investigations are underway.
