ISLAMABAD: The country’s industrial sector has had an impressive rise in production of large-scale manufacturing (LSM) units for the month of July 2026, according to official research reports.According to official research reports, large-scale manufacturing (LSM) units recorded substantial improvement in production for the month of July 2026, which is encouraging for the country’s industrial sector.
The latest LSM output data showed a strong month-on-month (MoM) growth of 9.5 per cent and a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 3 per cent. The dip in June 2026 was followed by a significant uptick in industrial activity, signaling a turnaround for domestic manufacturing.
Sector-Wise Growth Breakdown
According to the detailed figures, a number of important manufacturing industries saw very high growth:
Production rose a huge 83 percent from the previous month for the Tobacco Industry.
Furniture Sector: 88 per cent jump on monthly basis.
Apparel and Garments: Increased by 44 per cent.
Paper and Board: Saw a 27.5 percent MoM production gain.
The wide-ranging recovery is seen as a positive development for the overall macroeconomic stabilization and industrial momentum ahead of the new fiscal quarter.
