DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially declared the final list of the ICC Player of the Month for August 2026, highlighting outstanding international performances in the world of cricket.
Sri Lankan batsman Sonal Dinusha clinched the Men’s Player of the Month title with a sensational batting form. Sonal Dinusha hit two of her three remarkable centuries to take the top international monthly honour for the first time against India. The shortlist was made up of England’s Ollie Robinson and Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud, and he prevailed.
Lucy Barnett Makes History for Isle of Man
Isle of Man captain Lucy Barnett was the next Women’s Player of the Month winner in the ladies’ division.
With this historic achievement, Lucy Barnett has become the first-ever player from the Isle of Man to win an ICC Player of the Month award. She won a vote in the voting pool from Thai post-nominees Suwanan Khiaoto and Nannapat Koncharoenkai.
