Hajj 2027 Application Collection to Begin August 18, Ministry of Religious Affairs Announces
ISLAMABAD: The government and private Hajj schemes’ application collection schedule for Hajj 2027 has been adjusted and the application collection will now start from August 18, 2027, instead of August 17, 2027.The Ministry of Religious Affairs sources say that the applications and donation for Hajj can be made online or at the authorized branches of Habib Bank.
The applications for Hajj 2027 will be accepted “first come first served” and collection will be stopped once the quotas are filled up. The overall quota for Pakistan for Hajj 2027 has been set at 179,210. Of this, 60 per cent (107,526 seats) is reserved for the Government Hajj Scheme and 40 per cent (71,684 seats) is reserved for the Private Hajj Scheme.
The Hajj expenses will be paid in two halves; half at application time and the other half upon completion of the pilgrimage. Habib Bank is the one bank that has been shortlisted for this cycle, rather than 16 different banks, so there’s likely to be a greater rush on the submission window.Applications for pilgrimage can also be filed online using the official Pak Hajj App or website and payments can be done online using UNELINK and PSID, credit cards, or online challans. Foreign nationals, who are Pakistanis, can also apply on the online platform.
Under the Government Hajj Scheme, there are two types of packages, a short duration package of 20 – 25 days with a quota of 30,000 slots and estimated cost of Rs 1.3 million, and a long duration package, which will be available soon. Long Hajj Package: It is a package of 38-42 days duration with 77,526 slots and an estimated cost of Rs 1.2 million. For the first time private Hajj scheme applications will also be processed under government oversight and digital payment system extended to private applicants as well.
Further, there is a provision of 1% quota of 1,792 seats for the expatriates from Pakistan who have received Pakistan Origin Card.
