Government Increases Petroleum Prices

Government Increases Petroleum Prices; Petrol Goes Up by Rs2.31 and High-Speed Diesel by 78 Paisa Per Liter

ISLAMABAD: The Federal government has again hiked petroleum product prices up again in line with recent changes in international market prices.

The price of petrol has been hiked by Rs2.31 per litre to Rs398.96 per litre per consumer, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) said in its official notification.

The highlights of the Petroleum Price revision are as follows:
High speed diesel price hiked by 78 paisa per litre to Rs395.72 per litre: The price of high speed diesel has been increased by 78 paisa per litre while the retail price of the fuel has been increased to Rs395.72 per litre.

Global Market Alignment: The Petroleum Division reported that the new rates have been adjusted based on the global market quotations of refined petroleum products and considering the global price movements and related import costs.

Effective Date: The new rates will be effective from 9th October.
