ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced that it will revise the prices of petrol upward and will revise the prices of high-speed diesel downwards – a small amount – effective from today.
The official notification by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced that the new petroleum prices are effective from October 2.
New petroleum prices have been comprehensively broken down.
Revision in Petrol Prices: Petrol price increased by Rs3.26 per liter, consumer rate would now be Rs390.66 per liter.
High-Speed Diesel: On the other hand, the rate of HS Diesel was reduced by Rs1.01 per litre to Rs399.34 per litre.
The price notification, which was issued by OGRA after obtaining final clearance from the federal government, is in line with the changing dynamics in global oil markets and fiscal changes at home.
