Government Increases Prices of Petrol and Diesel
ISLAMABAD: The federal government says it will raise prices of petroleum products. The Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy has announced that petrol price has been raised by Rs 5.77 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) price by Rs 6.47 per litre.
A revised price of petrol and high speed diesel have been announced after the revision – petrol is now Rs 331.20 per litre, HSD Rs 390.42 per litre, with an official notification issued.
The new petrol and diesel prices will be effective from August 18, 2026.
It is remarkable that the price of petroleum products under the government’s new petroleum pricing policy is calculated and adjusted frequently according to international market fluctuations.
