Government Implemented Supreme Court’s Decision in Good Faith: Rana Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD:Amidst the discharge of the Supreme Court’s directives on the issue of medical treatment, the federal government has said it acted with utmost sincerity, explaining that health issues have never been played with politics in the past and in the future.Special Adviser PM on Political Affairs Sen Rana Sanaullah has said the federal government has acted sincerely in discharging the directives of the Supreme Court and health issues have never been used for politics in the past and in the future.
In the upper house of parliament, Rana Sanaullah told the Senate that courts cannot do anything except rule on the basis of the Constitution and the law. In response to comments made about judicial orders, he said that if the government is advised against taking actions as a court the opposition including Barrister Ali Zafar should also not make judicial judgements.

The Prime Minister’s adviser has said the PTI founder has been subjected to extensive medical checks done by panels of professional doctors while the government’s stance remains the same that all instructions of the top court have been followed to the tee. He said that taking the jailed leader to Shifa International Hospital might lead to problems with law and order.
Sanaullah criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for holding press conferences on known health statistics like blood pressure readings, heart rate, etc., which only demeaned the seriousness of the judicial proceedings. “What healthiest blood pressure could a healthy person have?” he asked, adding that the data showed the medical exams carried out by the expert doctors were comprehensive.
Reiterating the government’s commitments to propriety, Rana Sanaullah pointed out that the problems of the health should not be discussed in politics and that there was no politics involved in providing health services.
