Former Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Muhammad Idris Passes Away in Lahore After Prolonged Illness
LAHORE: Senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI) and former Deputy Emir Hafiz Muhammad Idris passed away in Lahore after being laid to rest in the company of his lifeless body for the last few weeks due to his severe illness.
After his tragic death, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemonur Rahman gave rich and heartfelt condolences and lamentations on his lifelong religious, political and ideological service.
High-ranking Central and provincial officials, such as JI Deputy Emir Liaqat Baloch and Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha, also expressed grief over his death and prayed for his soul and for the patience of the family.
Hafiz Muhammad Idris was one of the most eminent and revered personalities of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan who had devoted his entire life to the struggle of the political, propagation of Islam and awakening in terms of ideas.
He was the Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami for a long time. Besides, he was able to effectively handle various important administrative tasks, such as the Central Secretary General (Qayim) and provincial Emir of Punjab.Nationwide Condolences and Funeral Prayers Political and religious leaders from around the nation were heartened with his passing.
The leaders, including JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Liaqat Baloch, Dr Farid Ahmed Paracha and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family, and their contributions to the nation and religion were valued.Mansoorah’s memorial prayers were performed at Jamia Masjid Mansoorah, Lahore.
