Field Marshal Asim Munir and Kuwaiti High-Level Delegation Discuss Defense Cooperation at GHQ
RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that a high level delegation from the State of Kuwait, headed by Minister of Defence Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ).
The ISPR said that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Kuwaiti delegation met during the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Sharian.
Regional Security and Strategic Defense Partnership – discussion
At the meeting, the issues of mutual interest, security in the region, and bilateral defense cooperation were discussed in detail. The two sides reiterated their efforts to continue developing institutional cooperation and enhancing defense cooperation in all areas.
ISP also highlighted the professionalism, operational competence and unabated efforts of the Pakistani armed forces in promoting peace and stability in the region, which were appreciated by the visiting Kuwaiti delegation.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to make the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait a long-lasting and strong strategic defense partnership. The high-level meeting will make a significant contribution to promoting security and stability in the region, according to the military’s media wing.
