Federal Government Increases Petroleum Dealers’ Margin

Federal Government Increases Dealers’ Margin on Petrol and Diesel

ISLAMABAD: The government has finally hiked the dealers’ margin for petrol and high speed diesel, releasing a formal notification for the move.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) decision to increase the dealers’ margin by Rs 1.34 per litre has been ratified in formal cabinet meeting, the notification said. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has been instructed to implement at a national level immediately. The change will increase the margin for the dealers from Rs 8.64 to Rs 9.98 per litre, which will impact retail fuel pricing structures.
