Emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Was Necessary and Should Have Been Imposed Earlier; People Are Now Free From PTI’s Worst Governance, States Nawaz Sharif
LONDON : The state of emergency in KP has been called a necessary step by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif which could have happened much earlier because of the worsening administrative situation.
In a meeting with media in London, Sharif said law and order in the province had reached a critical juncture and things were getting out of hand, saying that no civilized state would allow its chief minister to attack the federal capital with the help of the state resources.
Here are some of the highlights of Nawaz Sharif’s Media Talk in London.
Sharif lashed out on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for its 13-year rule, alleging it has caused “massive damage” to KP, which has left residents deprived of any development and compelled them to go all the way to Lahore to seek medical care.
Misuse of Provincial Resources: The PML-N chief who questioned the justification of using the provincial resources against Islamabad and other other federating units, said that the people of KP already got a taste of the worst form of governance and it has been removed from them.
Commitment to Public Welfare: Sharif said both federal and provincial governments have recently started to take concrete steps to uplift the common man and everyone in KP deserves prosperity and progress.
