Earthquake Tremors Felt in Chitral, Swat, Malakand, and Surrounding Regions with 4.9 Magnitude
PESHAWAR : The earthquake shook moderate tremor in several districts of KP including Chitral, Swat, Malakand, Batkhela, Mohmand district, resulting in panic among the people that rushed out of their houses and buildings.
The earthquake measured 4.9 on the Richter scale, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.
In the Hindu Kush Region, the depth and epicenter have been determined.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the mountain Hindu Kush area and the depth of the quake was around 196km according to seismological data.
There has been no immediate report of loss of life or property damage from any of the affected areas; however, monitoring teams are on alert.
