Chinese President Xi Jinping Arrives in the US for a Three-Day State Visit, Welcomed Personally by President Donald Trump
WASHINGTON D.C.:China’s President Xi Jinping has made his first-ever personal visit to the United States on a high-profile three-day state visit, coinciding with the arrival of the country’s president at the military airfield for a rare personal appearance by US President Donald Trump.
President Xi and wife were met with a warm welcome by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on the red carpet at Andrews Military Base. There was a once-in-a-lifetime military reception, the first since 1962 when a sitting U.S. President personally traveled to an airport or military base to greet a visiting foreign head of state.
The flight included the Grand Ceremonial Honors and Flypast.
