Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Departs on Visit to Iran
RAWALPINDI : Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has left for an official visit to Islamic Republic of Iran, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Field Marshal is travelling the diplomatic mission with Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi.
Do the best to promote peace and conflict-resolution in the region.
High level visit is an integral part of Pakistan’s continuing diplomatic and security initiatives to promote peace and stability in the region, the ISPR said. Pakistan continues to be committed towards ensuring lasting peace in the Middle East.
During the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will thoroughly discuss joint possibilities towards peaceful settlement of conflicts in the region and augment defense cooperation between the two sides, the military’s media wing highlighted.
