Bearish Trend Dominates Pakistan Stock Exchange During Trading Week

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has released its weekly market update, which showed that the trading sessions of the week had continued to be negative.

The index of the top 100 stocks of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on the KSE-100 series hit a major downfall of 2,938 points during the past week to close at 177,166 points. The index saw a broad range of trading prices throughout the week, peaking at 181,158 points and bottoming at 176,110.

Share Volume and Market Capitalization
A combined financial turnover of Rs 205 billion was achieved on 4.22 billion shares traded in the market during the week.

The overall market capitalisation fell by Rs 247 billion in a week to end at Rs 19,882 billion. The weekly pullback is due to conservative investor sentiment and changing macro data, financial analysts say.
