Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar says that Balochistan’s problems can’t be solved with separatism or violence.
Balochistan’s core problems are not separatism or violence but can be addressed through the effective use of constitutional, political, administrative and developmental mechanisms, said Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar.
The ISPR Summer Internship Program 2026 saw Senator Kakar deliver a comprehensive address to more than 6,150 students at 21 different stations. In the interactive session, he shared a lot about the history of Balochistan, separatist narratives, terrorism, human rights, national security issues and the importance of youth.
In his address to the students, Senator Kakar stressed that separatist and terrorist groups in Balochistan are mainly using violence as a political tool. He emphasized the need to decisively confront and completely dismantle the terrorists linked to anti-state networks.
He said that it is a grave infringement on human rights and the right to life to target innocent passengers on the Jaffar Express, civilians in Musa Khel and labourers in Turbat, referring to the recent tragic incidents.
Senator Kakar also appealed to the youth to prepare themselves mentally, intellectually and academically to face the narratives of the extremists and anti-state forces. He said that this constant battle against terrorism must be fought through the power of language, rational argument, education, communication and intellect.
