AJK Elections: Decision taken on repolling of 23 Polling Stations in LA-15 & LA-16.
Muhammad Aslam Mir, Chairman of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission, has announced that repolling will be held at 23 polling stations in two electoral constituencies of Bagh: LA-15 Bagh-2 and LA-16 Bagh-3. The elections for both constituencies will be held on August 15.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Rtd.) The decision to call for repolling was taken after detailed reports were received from the respective returning officers, Ghulam Mustafa Mughal said. Repolling will be held at 9 polling stations in LA-15 Bagh-2 and 14 polling stations in LA-16 Bagh-3.
The Election Commission said that so far, out of 213 polling stations in LA-15 Bagh-2, the results of 204 polling stations have been received by the returning officer. Meanwhile, results from 172 out of 186 polling stations have been received for LA-16 Bagh-3.
Specifically, repolling will take place at polling station numbers 114, 135, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, and 186 in LA-15 Bagh-2. Similarly, repolling will be conducted on August 15 at polling station numbers 28, 29, 40, 49, 50, 51, 77, 91, 109, 110, 111, 112, 143, and 149 in LA-16 Bagh-3.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Rtd.) Mustafa Mughal has urged the electorates of both constituencies to go to their polling stations on the appointed day to exercise their right to vote and elect their representatives for the next five years.
It is noteworthy that in other constituencies, Awami Dast-o-Bazu candidate Sardar Sajid Abbasi was declared successful in LA-14 Dhirkot/Bagh Gharbi while Pakistan Peoples Party candidate and AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore secured victory in LA-17 Haveli.
