Trump Welcomes Makkah Defense Pact Between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan
WASHINGTON; Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan have signed a new defense pact, the Makkah Defense Agreement, with the United States (U.S.), which was welcomed by the U.S. President, Donald Trump.
The US President, in a social media statement, said the signing of the defense pact between the three countries is a welcome and important, courageous, step forward.
According to him, the joint defense agreement would help to improve cooperation between other countries in the region and the three countries would be able to better cooperate and defend each other.
Trump also emphasized that this agreement is a significant and important first step which will lead to unity and cooperation between the parties in the Middle East. The US President also congratulated the leadership of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan for the formation of Makkah Pact.
