Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, and Other Nations Strongly Condemn Israeli Airstrikes on Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase
DAMASCUS: Foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Algeria, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Somalia have issued a joint statement expressing their strong condemnation of the Israeli airstrikes that came against the military airbase of Abu al-Duhur in the north-western part of Syria on Wednesday.
The foreign ministers condemned in the joint declaration the strikes as “dangerous acts of provocation” and “a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They voiced grave concern about the ongoing targeting of Syrian territory and key infrastructure, noting that Israel’s acts could further exacerbate regional tensions.
Summon to International Action and respect for Sovereignty
The countries that signed the statement urged the world to take a firm and clear position against the continued aggression against the Syrian people. Respecting Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and political unity was paramount for regional stability, the declaration said.
