Government Announces Major Relief on Diesel Price, Petrol Becomes More Expensive
ISLAMABAD: The government has announced another hike in the price of petroleum products. The price of diesel has been dropped by a whopping Rs 32.63 per liter, which now stands at Rs 363.06 per liter, the Petroleum Division said.
Meanwhile, petrol prices have been raised by Rs 2.97 per litre bringing the price to Rs 337.51 a litre. The official notification has been released and new petroleum product prices will be applicable for 1 day from 20th August. Although significant reductions in the price of diesel fuel offer some relief to the transport and agriculture industries, the ongoing revisions of fuel prices maintain economic pressures.
