Ishaq Dar Contacts Turkish Foreign Minister, Discusses Regional Situation
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, where the two discussed the current regional situation and continued the peace and stability building efforts in the region. The two leaders discussed recent developments in the region and agreed on the need for continued cooperation to promote peace and stability in the region, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the course of the discussion, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan offered to extend an invitation to Ishaq Dar, just before the next meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, that would take place in the coming days. This meeting will take place later this month in Istanbul, Turkey. The Deputy PM and Foreign Minister has accepted the invitation and confirmed that he will join the summit.
